Anything Goes at That's Crafty! Challenge Blog

Hello again and welcome to my inspiration for our new challenge today over at That's Crafty! Challenge Blog where for the next 3 weeks the theme is Anything Goes!

I decided on an art journal page for my project and you won't believe it but most of the page is just 1 amazing stamp!

I coloured the page with Squeezed Lemonade, Fossilised Amber and Picked Raspberry Distress inks and then stamped on the amazing image from Carabelle Studio - called Collage Nature it's A5 size and covered most of the page! I stamped it with Archival Jet Black ink and then added a little colour with pencils.
I decided to fill in some of the gaps, using Carabelle's Texture Avec Des Chiffres which I stamped with the black ink and also with Wild Orchid Dye Ink.
The finishing touch was some inspirational Tim Holtz Big Chat Stickers.

Have a really fab Christmas and a great 2017 (I can't wait for my eyes to be fixed as Christmas will be a bit on the misty side!)

You'll find all the details on how I made this over at the blog as usual if you'd like to hop on over which I would love.

I'll be back in a bit with the details of our final challenge for the year over at That's Crafty! Challenge Blog which is running for 3 weeks this time so you have more chances to get something entered.

Choosing Happiness as That's Crafty!

Hello all, sorry not to have been around much lately everyone, this is because I still have issues with my eyesight, particularly the close sight which makes blogging and commenting more difficult.

I saw the consultant on Tuesday and the visit has thrown a spanner in the works as I have a small tear in the retina in my right eye which has to be fixed with laser surgery prior to the cataract procedures and as well as that, I can't wear my contact lenses for 10 days prior to the measuring for my replacement lenses and although I do have glasses the prescription is not strong enough so I'll be having a rather misty Christmas!

Anyway, enough whinging and on to the reason for my post which is to let you know that I have a project today over at That's Crafty! Blog where this week I'm sharing the second side of my splat upright which appeared on Hochanda. Hope you like it!

You'll find all the details over at the blog as usual and I'd love it if you hopped over to see how this came about.

Have a great day and a lovely weekend.

Flower Power at That's Crafty! Challenge Blog

Hello again and welcome to my inspiration for our new challenge today over at That's Crafty! Challenge Blog where for the next fortnight we have the theme of Flower Power.

I've made a tag with one of the lovely new Prima princesses and this one is Maia - I love the flowers she has in her hair.

I used my fingers to apply 2 shades of pink paint to the MDF tag (Paper Artsy Fresco Finish Acrylics Orchid and Sherbert). Once the paint was dry I drew the triangles on the tag with a graphite pencil, adding dots top and bottom. I painted them with orange and yellow Paper Artsy acrylics.
I then added stencilling using the honeycomb and diamond dot Dinky stencils with Archival Watering Can ink.
I stamped Maia on stamping card with Archival Jet Black ink and coloured her with a mix of coloured and pastel pencils, adding detail with markers. I then cut her out (not well as my dodgy eyesight doesn't help with this!) and covered up my rather bad cutting by using the graphite pencil round the edges - it really does cover up any cutting issues!

There's a great prize of a voucher for the online shop for the randomly drawn winner and all you have to do to be in with a chance is enter - how easy is that!

Have a great day and a lovely weekend.

Among the Flowers at That's Crafty!

Hello everyone, I hope you're all keeping warm wherever you are and I have to say, down here it's absolutely freezing! It was -2 when I got up yesterday which is the coldest I can remember in ages - brrrrrr!
I have a project today over at That's Crafty! Blog which is the reverse of my top hat MDF upright which last week was inspired by the cat in a hat. If you missed it you can see it HERE.
This is the girly side as I imagined that Bentley might have a lady friend and hope you like her.

You'll find all the details over at the blog as usual and I hope you decide to hop over as there are some fab tutorials to see.

Have a great day and a lovely weekend.
